The Witcher fans can rejoice as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to next-gen systems with visual and technical improvements, CD Projekt RED has announced.
The upgraded version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be arriving on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, complete with all post-launch content on the latter two platforms. Additionally, players who already own the game on PC, Xbox One and PS4 will be eligible for a free upgrade. No release date has been announced as of yet.
In a statement from CD Projekt RED, the developer outlined some of the enhancements players can expect to find in the new version. Taking advantage of the powerful systems, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is said to include “ray tracing and faster loading times”.

CD Projekt RED is also currently gearing up to release its first non-The Witcher game, Cyberpunk 2077. The science fiction RPG is scheduled to launch on November 19, with the developer assuring that the game will not be delayed again.
“When we meet again in this format, Cyberpunk 2077 will have already been released,” hief financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz said during a recently released video, where he outlined the financial results of CD Projekt RED for the first half of the fiscal year.
Last month, CD Projekt RED hosted a Night City Wire presentation for Cyberpunk 2077 that provided more details about the game’s weapons and Lifepaths mechanic. The next Night City Wire presentation is scheduled for September 26.
