‘Dragon Quest XI: Echoes Of An Elusive Age’ is coming to Xbox later this year

It will also be a part of the Xbox Game Pass service

Square Enix has announced that its long-running Dragon Quest series will finally be released on an Xbox console for the first time later this year.

The definitive edition of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes Of An Elusive Age will launch on the Xbox One on December 4, alongside PC and PlayStation 4 versions. The definitive edition of the game was originally released in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes Of An Elusive Age – Definitive Edition features a fully orchestrated soundtrack, a photo mode and new side stories for companions. The game also includes an option to switch from 3D graphics to a 2D mode, resembling classic Dragon Quest games and celebrating the series roots.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes Of An Elusive Age’s Xbox release was announced as part of the Xbox Games Showcase pre-show. Other titles such as a sequel to the horror hit Hello Neighbor and a new action-platformer from Square Enix titled Balan Wonderland where also previewed during the event.

The original version of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes Of An Elusive Age was first released in 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS and PS4. A PC port of the game was released a year later.

Meanwhile, viewers are expected to receive a first-look at Halo Infinite during the Xbox Games Showcase main show, with a new Fable entry being heavily rumoured to also be appearing.
